Great Fishing on the Olympic Peninsula this Week

December Winter Steelhead

It has been a great two weeks on the Olympic Peninsula for hatchery winter steelhead.  Lots of fish to be had and lots of happy customers.  I hope this is a sign for numbers of wild fish returning in the next 3 months.  It certainly looks like a great return ratio for hatchery fish.

Looks like we will finally be getting some rain this week so it will be interesting to see what happens with all the rivers that are low and clear.  I bet there is a great push of fish.

Peyton Goos having a great day on the river

Peyton Goos of Shelton put the hurt on several hatchery fish like the one pictured and rounded out his day with a beatuiful native that he released into the river unharmed.  He said it was a great day because he outfished his dad!

Bogy Limit

Winter Steelhead fishing is picking up on our coastal rivers.  Here is a nice limit taken on the Bogy last week by Ty Davidson and TJ Goos from the big town of Shelton.

Wild fish should start to move in towards the end of the month.  I believe we are going to have a great season.

Our photo galleries are just about up to date again as we have been on a reprieve from football season and have had time to unload pictures from cameras and load pictures into these galleries.

Looking forward to another great ocean season for bottomfish, halibut, salmon and tuna.
